Dog Training
Dog training should start from the moment you meet your dog.
If he arrives as a puppy, and it's the first time you've had a dog, arm yourself with books, so you can start your relationship on the right foot.
Do puppy pre-school at your local vet.
Then join some local obedience classes during the week, where you may learn and practise basic commands, under the guidance of experienced volunteers. Most councils will be able to help you with local locations.
If you find that you aren't the leader of the pack, don't be embarrassed to ask for professional help from qualified dog trainers.
